  • Shyamalan has a humiliation kink. There's no other explanation for why his movies are sucking ass so much. With people being all "lol don't kink-shame" he just embraced it and gets off being shit on by everyone who sees his trash films.

  • To be honest, it would be a great ending if they showed you that Mister Glass got a secret power and it is about making the people who got killed back to life and when he revives someone from death so one of his bones got fixing. So the ending would be like David and Kevin back to the life and the people along with Kevin dad that they got killed by Mister Glass has back to the life by Mr Glass himself and he got his body back and after he revived many people.

  • Casey going to visit Kevin and insisting on speaking with him made sense to me. The last person she trusted was her father, then he died and her uncle abused her for years. Until she was kidnapped and eventually found her strength, being spared by The Beast and getting her uncle sent to prison. The other two girls weren't her friends, they invited her to the party out of pity. Kevin/The Beast saved her and she's grateful for it. Even though he'd done terrible things, he was her hero and he proved that we could be more than we believe.

  • The director thought the realism of the trilogy would be original, creative and a good way to end the trilogy. It was definitely original, but not creative or a good way to end the trilogy. Just because something is original doesn't mean it's creative! Not does it mean it's good.

  • When i watched glass as the credits were rolling i turned to my sister and said "someone needs to have a sit down talk with shamalan and tell him he doesnt need a big twist every movie." I am fine with it as it is but i truthfully just wanted to see an actual knockout brawl betweem david and 'the beast' but as you said this was about subverting our expectations of superhero/villain films. I didnt mind the movie we got but i will always think about what that full power fight wouldve looked like

  • I think to tease a giant tower fight, and then skip it, references both the "bully brawl" from Matrix Reloaded, and the horrors of 9/11. Yeah, it could have been awesome, but it makes us ask ourselves why do we want to see so many people die at a tower?

  • tbh I got way more emotional in glass than I have in any other marvel movie, and I think that's more to do with how they actually lost. When infinity war you knew that they'd come back and find a way to win but with Glass, they weren't coming back and it was the definite end of this era. Marvel is still making movies but I doubt there will be a fourth for this series. I might be semi biased though because I grew up with unbreakable, it was one of my favourite movies and I believe I watched it when I was around 9 (I'll never get over the stair scene). Then when Split came out I watched it thinking it was a horror movie and then almost had a heart attack seeing Bruce at the end. When I learned about Glass I watched it the second I was able to. I loved this trilogy so much and I'm definitely satisfied with this ending.

  • lol so DR.Staple trying to explain their powers using science wasnt useless considering she was trying to get them to believe they were normal so they dont have to be executioned. Your review of this movie is pretty biased and doesnt make alot of sense. Bruce dying in the puddle further shows the uselessness of the powers that can be used for good, go to waste when they are unkown and not accepted, how powerless they are compared to the "Society". The way the three go out is the perfect way of tehmovie explaining just how close those powers can get to revealing the truth but just not enough compared to the power of DR Staple and her "Secret Society". This is just the origin story of supers in a normal world.

  • How can you say these are both cliche and over done twists while also too shocking and disappointing for the audience? From a purely realistic standpoint, it makes sense. Kevin finally gets himself killed, Glass definitely wasn't going to be surviving long, and the society wasn't going to let David get away. And Glass gets his pyrrhic victory. It cost him everything but his fanatical obsession with superhumans finally comes to fruition. It's a darker take on the average comic book story but occurring in the real world. I'm just interested in if there will ever be a fourth film or spin-off with a superhuman world while the cabal pulls all its international government, corporation, and societal strings to attempt a purge against superhumans.

  • I'm confused about Casey, David's son and Glass' mom. Were they in on the whole thing with Staple? Cuz when the police shot Kevin Casey didn't seem surprised and David's son didn't try to do much when the police were drowning him? And if they were on it, was it because they thought Staple really was helping them (even though she was just trying to keep the superheroes from being thesmelves)?

  • My heart was SHATTERED at the end... I loved the UNBREAKABLE movie and watched it many time as a kid. I never knew the movie split existed until glass was released.. I did watch split before watching glass and was both satisfied and disgusted in the overall horde guy. And glass wastes no time continuing the story and linking up the hero and the villan. But as i said the ending here in glass stomped all over my heart when tge idea of superhumans turns out to be far more known than eligha thought. But on that not eligha makes sure the world knows

  • A couple of things to preface this long comment. I use to like watching these "ending explained" videos until recently when they started making these reaction/rant videos instead of actually trying to explain the endings to obscure films. I use to just watch these videos instead of watching them myself because why do I want to go out and watch a shitty slasher film with a barely put together "mystery". This time however I wanted to go watch the movie "Glass" because I loved "Unbreakable" and "Split". So this morning I watched "Glass" and I liked it. I really liked it because it's been awhile since a competent film has came out that hasn't treated the audience like morons. On that note I'm aware that these videos are done right after viewing the recently released film and I'm not sure if he has view the film multiple times or just takes well taken notes but I wish some of the facts or details of the film made it on the quick rundown of the film. Because as he is doing this rundown it seems like the twist that Mr. Glass killed Kevin's father was glossed over from Glass's and the sons perspective. I also want to dissagre in that the scene of the Dr trying to tell the superhumans that they were just experiencing illusions of grandeur because it sets up the Dr. and the rest of the cabal later on and it also has an effect on the superhumans as they began to question themselves and their abilities. There's another thing that was glossed over and it was Mr. Glass and his quick trip in the basement which was shown in the film to be accessing the servers of the institute and that sets up the emails sent. I'm probably forgetting something else but meh.

  • I found this review more of a bitch and moan session on why this was not like all the other superhero movies. I thought Unbreakable was a excellent. It showed how a glimpse into how a superhero would be in the real world. When I saw the trailer for Glass, I was psyched about it. I kind of gave up on Shamalamdingdong's movies after the Happening. This movie did not disappoint and I loved how it ended. So much depth in this movie but I feel like the reviewer was hoping for another Marvel or DC movie. The narration about the main characters stepping in to witness the showdown was rather tedious. The secret society needs new tattoos; they looked like the Girl Guides symbol. Good Marvel reference with the magazine cover though.

  • I liked the idea that these hero’s aren’t all powerful like we see in comics. They are just humans with special gifts that do give them major advantages against small groups but ultimately can be taken out if organized and equipped for the situation. That being said we also have to take into account these were just people who were smarter or stronger instead of actual powers like flying and shooting energy. A buff body builder would of been able to stand up to these guys or a skilled martial artist. So it’s hard to truly measure how much of a true advantage their gifts had over humanity. Batman is the perfect example. No powers. Just a strong will, smarts and skills with a well trained body and he became a super hero
