  • Did they say in the movie that the cycle lasts 10 years? That seems like an awful long time. The people would definitely look older if they were at the end of a 10 year cycle.

  • I liked it but also I'm confused about whether the movie is establishing clear rules or not. People are trapped temporally but also spacially, which is shown by Carl, explained by Hal and visible in one scene as clearly spherical domes that do not overlap; the people stuck remember their past loops and they appear in their initial locations at the reset. However even if they retain their memory, the guys from Resolution at least partially reenact things and all objects are reset whereas the cult can accumulate object changes, shitty Carl somehow coexists with one of his corpses at a time, the main characters' threat of getting looped is for some reason specifically the 3 moon/10 year/cult loop regardless of their location. If the entity is the audience and it's a metamovie, then they could indeed be trapped in a once-removed loop where the film itself is the loop, besides that their escape violates a lot established about the loops to be interpreted as one.

  • I think they can break out of the loop but only if they all work together. Which is nearly impossible with them being separated like that. Another thing is the flower allows them to see the barrier so that is a metaphorical weapon against the God. Something I noticed was that the stacks become small at the start of every loop so maybe breaking the stacks is key.

  • And still my struggle to find the perfect time travel/time loop movie continues. This was a pretty good effort, but still full of inconsistencies that pepper the plot too much and spoil it - like how each time loop begins seemingly as if they have no free will and say the same lines yet they have memories of the last loop and can paradoxically act out of free will being the most glaring flaw in the movie. There were a few others, and I'm sure those who want to try and make it all fit together will make it fit together but in the end it seems messy and poorly refined. Which is a shame as it could have been one of the better time travel movies.

  • Jsuak: at the very end just before the credits, they come over a hill which looks to have a pull over shoulder... The exact same one that looks like where their mother's grave was when they got of the loop, meaning they're still in a loop of some kind. But it's hard to make out so the ending is ambiguous, just the way a good cosmic horror should be 😊

  • I didnt get how that one man in the tent's time loop was only a few seconds. How come there's one set of people with a loop of over 10 years, a set with a loop of a week and this one man with a loop of a few seconds? Are they each in their own time domes, which have their own laws of time? or what is it?

dapper dapperdapper dapperIl y a mois
  • Question! When they “escape” did they really escape? From what I can tell, the loop reset as the Camry focuses on a brand new moon revolution.

  • The Time Loop actually reiterates the metanarriative nature of the first film- Just as the first movie had the two friends undergoing a story while the audience watched, we see the events of that week- of that movie- playing out on repeat, just as we watch our favorite movies over and over again. Thankfully our versions don't remember the previous times. ...right?

  • I think that the brothers are stuck in a loop where they drive forever. maybe a 1-second loop or something like that since they were hit the last second. they will drive forever without realising that the road never ends. and since they don't have time to think, they can't realise they are in a loop. just a theory though.

  • At 15:30 when the loop resets, how do the two ppl in the cabin realize that they are stuck in a loop? The other people in the camp are aware of the resets and I think their loop just resets it does not bring them back to the original state. I found this a bit confusing.

I mean you could achieve perfection at anything you want to like math, archery, electronics, programming, etc. I actually would like to stay there the only downside is that I would like someone to bring me something from the outside like a book.

Like the short loops yes obviously because you can't change much in 3 seconds, but in 10 years you're (especially since you retain memories)really just living a life where every ten years you have to remake make some stuff?
